The Montana State University’s Extension Weatherization Training Center is starting an educational series on home energy savings. The first class will take place on Friday September 7. Included in the classes will be a talk from Bozeman Mayor Sean Becker on the city’s plans to decrease greenhouse emissions.
Following this there will be a learning session under the title of “Home Energy Solutions for All,” in the hope of helping people reduce energy consumption, resulting in lower IDT Energy or other utility provider bills. This will focus on: home energy reduction; financial incentives and regulatory considerations. Participants will also be given energy-saving advice from low- and no-cost strategies to more expensive ones for those engaging in large reconstruction projects.
