Electricity is Secondary Source of Energy

IDT Energy is one of New York’s suppliers of electricity. We all know that without electricity much of what we take for granted about our lives today would be impossible. From simple things like indoor lighting, refrigeration and telephones all the way to the modern uses of electricity, most notably computers and other electronic appliances, electricity is an integral part of our lives.

Did you know that electricity is a ‘secondary’ source of energy? That means that in order to create electricity we must use a source of energy different from electricity to create it. That means coal, sun, wind, water flow, or some other source is transformed into electricity, which we in turn use for our needs, as mentioned above.
